My story for starting Tranquil Tides

In today’s world, many of us grow up in nuclear families. Mine was no different, with just my father, my mother, and me, their only child. After my dad passed away, my mother came to live with me. She was a fun-loving, vibrant person who cherished friendships, social outings, and entertaining. Her life was rich and full well into her 70s.

However, as time went on, the people who made her life meaningful began to depart—her husband, her siblings, and her friends. Despite my best efforts to take care of her and spend time with her, I couldn't replace the companionship and friendships that had been so integral to her happiness. This cast a shadow of solitude over her once-spirited life.

I often thought she would have thrived in the company of her peers if there had been a place where people from her generation could gather. I wished for a space where she could enjoy companionship, mental and physical activities, and build new friendships.

With this vision in mind, I founded Tranquil Tides—a haven where seniors can connect, stay active, and enjoy a safe, joyous environment.
