Founder - Shiana Makhija

As a professional, Shiana has had an enriched career in HR with over 35 years experience in multiple industry verticals. She has been involved in strategic planning, driving results, problem solving, creating partnering strategies, operations, quality, human resource information technology, consulting, and learning & development. She has partnered with senior management teams to participate in start-ups, turnarounds and reorganizations.

 

Her educational qualifications include an M.S. Human Resource Management from New School for Social Research New York and a  M.S. Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)  Mumbai with a specialization in family and child therapy

 

Her innate passion for bettering lives led her to foray into work for various groups from a humanistic perspective. She worked with Impact India on sustainability of the Train Health Program; Worked on Toy Bank expansion program and launched the program in a balwadi school in rural Maharashtra. She also developed and implemented and trained Apanalya staff and project leads on measurable performance management system.

 

And it is this interest that has now led her to establish Tranquil Tides.

 

When not working on a project you will find her pursuing her interest in travelling, painting, pottery and singing all of which she plans to continue to do with the members at Tranquil Tides.
